As an Au Pair, what are my costs to get a J-1 Visa?

 

The costs for an aupair to participate in the US Aupair Program are as follows:

1. Aupair Training Fee of $400 to $500 (refundable upon completion of 1 year)
   
   
2. Agency Interview Fee of up to $200 or less depending on country and local agent
   
   
3. Insurance Fee of $100 to $300 depending on country and agency
   
   
4. Airfare surcharge varies by departure city. In Most European countries there is no surcharge. In Australia, New Zealand or South America there may be a surcharge of up to $450 each way.
