Au Pair job description
WE NEED A GERMAN SPEAKER TO HELP OUR CHILDREN IMPROVE THEIR GERMAN SHORT STAY OK
We are an Australian family living in Luxembourg. We have 2 boys 4 and 6 who attend the local luxembourgish schooley also speak luxembourgish but we speak English at home. We are looking for an au pair who speaks German as our 6 year old is learning it in school and needs help. You also will need to have a good level of English as this is what we speak at home and it is the boys' first language.
My husband works but I stay at home. The main focus of the job is to help the children with their german/childcare not housework. The boys are in school 3 whole days and 2 half days.
Family's Message to Au Pair
Luxembourg is a small but international country boardered by France, German and Belgium. Luxembourg city has just been voted the safest city in the world to live. It is very well located to travel in europe. Paris is just over 2 hours by train.
There are 3 languages spoken here: French, German and Luxembourgish. So it is a good place to come and practice and /or learn both French and German at once. As well as learn/ practice English as that is what we speak at home.
We have been living in Luxembourg for 2 years. Before that we have lived in Singapore (twice) and Denmark. I think we are quite relaxed, flexible and open minded. We have had aupairs before and would really welcome you into our family.
We live 7kms from the city centre in a nice safe area and close to a regular bus route. You will have a room with tv that has its own attached bathroom. We have a good local pool nice forest areas and a yoga school close by.
