Au Pair or Nanny job description

We are looking for someone to help care for our little 1 year old boy while we are working. We want someone who really enjoys being around children and we would like someone who would become his little friend to play with and help teach him things about his surroundings. Taking him to pre-organised activities. Weekends and evenings are yours free (but would be honoured to have you hanging around the house as part of the family) but on occasion i might need some babysitting but would ask in advance. Some light housework would be required eg: vaccuuming, dusting & cleaning bathrooms. (This would only be once a week or once a fortnight) making the occassional nightime meal would be a great help too.

Family's Message to Au Pair or Nanny

Dear Au Pair/Nanny,

We are a young friendly family who live in the capital of Australia, Canberra. We have a one year old little boy named Max whom we adore and a small Maltese terrier dog who is very friendly. We also have two cats but they keep to themselves mostly. Our son is a very friendly loving boy who loves to read, go swimming and play music and games. We are looking for someone who would be like one of the family not just an employee, someone who will love our little boy as much as we do. We would like someone who can look after our child do some house cleaning (no too much though:))and on the occasion prepare the evening meal. You would have your own room and toilet downstairs but would have to share the main bathroom with my son upstairs (so its pretty much your own). There is a possibility that at the time of employment we might have a car for your use. We are a friendly, careing family and would like someone who can feel comfortable to come to us with any issues you might have. If possible we would like someone from another country to share their culture with us and vice versa.
