Au Pair's Message to Families

Dear host family Let me introduce my self, im Lourdes from Mexico city, im 19 years old. Im a very funny person, i love to laugh, i think that if you are happy and you live your live to the best, you will be a very healthy, and happy person. I think must of illness are caused by our emotions. Right now im living in "Cuernavaca", Mexico. Im studying my first semester of my carreer "Animation and Digital Art" in "Tecnologico de Monterrey". But i want to take a year off, and hopefully go to your house and help you, and learn about other countries, and help you and your family. One of my other reasons i want to go is because this kind of things really help you in a lot of ways. Like to mature, to learn about other cultures, you can know other countries, etc. I want to go somewhere in Europe as an Au pair, and be over there for 1 year.

I love beeing with kids, i love to play with them, im a very active girl, i love playing sports, and beeing active, with kids of course, you are always active :D...

I also have an "artistic" side, i love going to the theater, i also paint. I love beeing on the nature, go and take a walk all over the mountains.

Now in my family i have lots of cousins, and of course each time that the family is getting together they want me to take care of them, and play with them. I really enjoy this and i have a lot of fun with them. Two years ago i had a work as a "Sandwich artist" in Subway, i did this becaue i wanted to pay my air ticket so i could go in summer with my brother that lives in the US.I had the choice of going with my parents money, but i wanted to do it by my self and to be a little more independent. I think this job helped me a lot, it helped to get more mature and be more responsible. My brothers say that im more mature than the other girls of my age, i think this is because 1, i always lived with older people (like my two brothers they are 29, 30), and 2, also because the great majority of my friends are older. Although i have a baby face :P
