Au Pair job description
I AM LOOKING FOR AN ENGLISH MOTHER TONGUE TEACHER. PLEASE NO PHILIPPINES & Aupairs from non English countries!
We are looking for a sweet, playful, trustful and enthusiastic young woman capable of gaining children's love and to be friends with them, making Gregorio nearly 7) and Guglielmo (aged 4 yrs) play while teaching them English.
Aupair would be part-time (approx. 15.30-20.00 daily);
Ideally AP should have a previous experience as caregiver and teacher for children (pls. note that babysitting of relatives is not rated among significant experience). Former experience thought me that it is higly desirable that aupair should: 1 ) have previous experience in being a live-in caregiver 2) not be at her first experience abroad. Other important features would be: Fun, energetic, caring and highly organised girl.
Light household is also required (mainly caring for the children's things and room and keeping overall tidy), but a maid is also daily in house.
Family's Message to Au Pair
Dear Au Pair, We would like you to be an elder sister for our two children and take care of them with love, play with them when we're not home. That's why you must be able to committ to a one-year-stay (minimum.. but if u would like more...) We are a family of 4: Marco, entrepreneur, Costanza, Law Professor, Gregorio (ag. nearly 7) and Guglielmo (4). Both parents are working.
We live right in the center of Milano, in a nice appartment, where aupair will have a single room, small but very cosy, opening on a green terrasse. Week-ends are mostly spent on the nearby lake Maggiore, where we have a house. Aupair is heartly welcome to move with us.
Family has had Eng speaking AP in the last 4 yrs so we are used and happy to have AP girls around. Children have no problems in speaking and understanding English. We want our aupair to be as much a part of the family as she desires. We are eager to welcome her as a member of the family and share with her all of family's life. As much this may be true, we do understand her need for her free time and time for herself. In return we expect her to treat us - and the house! - with all the respect and care she would for her own.
We move from the idea that AP is eager to learn and to accept different ways of living and that it is she that accomodate to us and not viceversa.
Family is Roman Catholic. We are waiting for you!!! Ciao
