Au Pair or Nanny job description

We need a nanny for our 14 month old. He is currently in a great daycare, but needs a break from the sickness exposure over the winter months, due to two recent respiratory viruses with severe wheezing. Our goal is to have fewer illnesses through the winter cold and flu season. If you have a child close in age to my son, you could bring them along too if you can spread your love and attention equally. This will give you a slightly lower payrate, but you'll be saving childcare expenses. Any experiance with Montessori is a big bonus for us. We also have two sweet dogs, but we have a fenced yard so their care is minimal. Hours will be 30-45/week, depending on dad's ever changing schedule. Dad may be at home working or sleeping sometimes while nanny is there too. Pay will be $8-12/hour depending on experience, etc.

Family's Message to Au Pair or Nanny

We live in a nice neighborhood for walks, have nice toys and a playroom, plenty of room to play inside and out. Close to playground/park and other fun places for outings. Our son is a very sweet and affectionate kid, laid-back personality, gentle with other kids and animals. He is very smart, says many words and signs, and loves to play. He rarely stops moving, so you'll need lots of energy. We don't want the tv on often, but there are a few exceptions (i.e. baby not feeling well or cooking lunch). We use cloth diapers, but don't need help with washing them. We want him to be the center of your attention, but will appreciate light housework, evening meal prep, and baby's laundry to be done durring naptime (within reason - I do not expect you to be my maid!).
